I have a Boilermaker G2 and have been thinking about getting a whirlpool going in it. Of course I'm nervous about drilling holes in my nice pot. Is there a suggested setup for installing a whirlpool port into the pot or is it best to build something which using copper which hangs in over the side? Thanks for any advice.
Hi Jim - to be honest, all you need is a spoon. There is no need to create a tornado in your kettle. That said, if you're using an immersion chiller the whirlpool fitting is handy to improve the performance of the chiller. FOr now I'd recommend the copper tube that hangs over the top and see if that's working better for you. If it is then you can get something more permanent installed.
